Le Tandem

The welcome was good, the setting was lovely, and the terrace inviting. However, my vegetarian dish consisted of two mushrooms topped with a slice of Maroilles cheese, surrounded by lamb's lettuce and three slices of cucumber. Vegetarian doesn't mean diet! Especially when this dish is the same price as the others made with meat or fish… very expensive. €20 for my mushroom medley (this isn't cooking), I'm having trouble digesting it 🤣 I decided not to have dessert. 🍮

Honestly, I recommend it.

We recently dined at Le Tandem restaurant, and our experience was unfortunately mixed. The initial welcome seemed rather cold. After ordering drinks for the children, we noticed that the juice cartons were dated 11/2025. When I pointed this out to the waitress, her response was, "It's not a problem, it's an 'use by' date." While it might technically be edible, in a professional setting—and especially for children—this type of response is not very reassuring. On the other hand, the chef came around to each table with a big smile and was very pleasant, which is worth mentioning. Regarding the food: • The children's menus were the same price, but with different portion sizes: • two slices of ham for the 10-year-old • only one for the 5-year-old • the same for the ice cream scoop, smaller for the younger child. Even if the intention is perhaps to adjust the portion sizes, when the price is the same, it seems inconsistent. • The Flemish carbonnade was quite fatty. • The horse steak was very good, but the side dish (mashed potatoes that seemed frozen) was disappointing. On the plus side: the desserts were very good, especially the crème brûlée and the nougat glacé. In summary: the food was decent, but several details in the service and the consistency of the dishes disappointed us.

Excellent food, charming restaurant

Good value for money. Pleasant setting. Refined cuisine. Excellent sweetbreads. All four of us were very satisfied.

A mixed review: a pleasant welcome, decent food, but seated near the restrooms, we certainly got our fill of rose-scented deodorant, and our table had absolutely no natural light. We had a table for four, with two seats facing the dining room and the back windows, and the other two overlooking the restroom entrance. The food was good, but the fries were thin and crispy, like oven-baked fries; I'm not at all sure they were fresh, as we were assured. The sauce was good, and the chef was friendly, circulating among the tables. I might return for the food, but definitely not for the ambiance or the setting.

Very nice. Good service. And, for lunch, it's quite quick. Thank you.
