IT - Italian Trattoria Heron Parc

My favorite IT place in the area, pleasant, spacious, and with really helpful staff. Special mention to Cindy, the queen of iced amarettos.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, and I'm not a demanding customer... but this... this is catastrophic. What happened to this establishment that has lost all its quality? A few years ago (in 2022), I came here and ordered a vegetarian salad for €10. It was perfectly satisfactory, full of good quality cooked vegetables (grilled eggplant, sundried tomatoes, artichoke, and I think some small pumpkin seeds...). The flavors were fantastic, and I was able to customize the dressing myself (olive oil and balsamic). I came back in July 2026 to order the same salad. But it's no longer available. They have a new concept for salads (you choose a base, then add a topping = 3 tiny pieces of artificial chicken in my case). Catastrophic. Absolutely no quality whatsoever. These are pre-packaged raw vegetables with no taste: grated carrots, red cabbage, bagged lettuce... The red cabbage even tasted rotten; it must have been marinating in the bag. Even the half avocado was starting to go bad. I truly suffered through my meal, from start to finish. I paid €15 for this awful salad, instead of €10 for the delicious salad I used to pay. NEVER AGAIN! It's on par with McDonald's salads. If you want a salad, go to Salad & Co next door. A thousand times better.

It's easy to park near the restaurant, the staff is very welcoming, and the pizzas are delicious! It's a shame, though, that the amaretto syrup is so overpowering in the tiramisu.

I'd been here before and it was very good, but today we had bland, tasteless dishes. The service system is terrible (actually, there isn't one since we have to get our own cutlery, drinks, food, etc.). The only thing missing is for me to go behind the counter and make my own pasta. Relatively expensive.
